Healthy Ventures LLC, the company led by entrepreneur and consumer products expert Jim Lacey, is known for its all-natural products. Two of the company’s products, Berry Sleepy and Berry Awake, were recently recognized with a Drug Store News Retail Excellence (REX) Award. The fruit-based natural sleep supplements were singled out from dozens of brands for the award, which was created by Drug Store News as a way to help retailers identify brands that make positive difference in consumers’ lives.
Berry Sleepy was originally developed by two parents in Kansas City. It was created to serve as a natural alternative to synthetic sleep aids, many of which are known for their unpleasant side effects and potential dangers. The product’s creators worked with a pharmacist and product formulators, using only natural fruit extracts. With the help of Mr. Lacey, the company relocated to Westlake Village, California and rapidly expanded its operation.
Today, Healthy Ventures produces a line of natural products, including the original Berry Sleepy. Building on the success of the original, the company has been hard at work innovating. Other products include Berry Sleepy Sleep Shots, a liquid natural sleep aid in Strawberry and Mixed Berry flavors. Going to sleep without artificial additives is only one part of the equation; waking up with natural energy sources is the other. To address the consumer demand for an energy shot without the additives, the company now produces Berry Awake Natural Energy Shots. This delicious shot comes in two flavors, Strawberry and Mixed Berry. Healthy Ventures announced that two additional flavors will be introduced in the latter part of 2018, with Orange-Mango and Strawberry-Banana joining the original flavors.
Jim and his team have embarked on a marketing campaign, buoyed by their REX Award. The company recently showcased its product line at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California, where they served as National Gold Sponsors and had a booth and a sampling tent. The team will also appear on “Modern Living with Kathy Ireland” throughout 2018, reaching over 250 million homes through the television broadcast.
